One of the objectives of the Netherlands embassy in Sarajevo is to promote cultural exchanges between Dutch and Bosnian cultural institutions, groups and artists. The embassy has the role of an intermediary, bringing interested parties together and stimulating supply and demand.

Within the Netherlands’ international cultural policy (ICB) the Western Balkans is a proprietary region. By working together with other Netherlands embassies in the region the embassy in Sarajevo aims where possible to create a bigger stage on which Dutch culture can perform.
