Dutch Foreign Minister Bert Koenders has sent his condolences to the victims of the incidents at the Houses of Parliament in London. “I directly expressed my condolences to my British colleague Boris Johnson, with whom I have been sitting side-by-side at today’s Global Coalition against ISIS conference in Washington, as soon as the awful news came in. My thoughts are with the residents of London.”
The Netherlands has today repeatedly made clear in its contacts with Turkey that public order and safety may not be put at risk in our country. Once consultations about a small-scale meeting closed to the general public in a Turkish consulate or embassy had been made impossible by Turkey’s public threat of sanctions, the Netherlands denied Saturday morning the Dutch landing rights for the aircraft of Turkish foreign minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu. The quest for a reasonable compromise had proved to be impossible. The subsequent verbal aggression on the part of the Turkish authorities is unacceptable.

The museum and permanent exhibition "Srebrenica genocide - the failure of the international community", which is part of the common and continuous efforts to preserve the memory of the victims of the Srebrenica genocide, was opened on Thursday 9 February at the Potocari Memorial Centre. The museum was opened by representatives of the PMC, Dutch peace organisation PAX, memorial center Westerbork and of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.
On Saturday 3rd December 2016, nearly 40 embassies and over 70 NGOs and Vendors from BiH came together to hold the biggest ever Diplomatic Winter Bazaar in the Mirza Delibasic hall at Skenderija, Sarajevo. The event raised an incredible 130,000KM which will be shared between 9 charities that work with disadvantaged children in Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Mostar, Doboj and the Srebrenica region.
Conference organized jointly by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH is held on Friday 27 January at the Parliamentary building of BiH. Purpose of the conference is for the Dutch experts from the Water Authority Riverenland to present their findings and recommendations and for the involved institutions to sign a Letter of Intent for a long term cooperation.

Sarajevo Film Festival and Meeting Point Cinema will again join this unique live event simultaneously taking place in 45 cinemas across Europe and Singapore and present to the Sarajevo audiences a selection of three films from the lineup of the 46th edition of the International Film Festival Rotterdam.
During a study tour of the representatives of relevant institutions from BiH water sector to the Netherlands in October 2016, it was jointly decided to work on the establishment of a long term cooperation between the Bosnia and Herzegovina’s and the Dutch water sector. Mission of the Water Authority Riverenland in cooperation with the Netherlands Water Partnership started today and will last until Friday 28 January 2017.
