Announcement of the new ORIO application procedure

As of May 2012 projects from all infrastructure sectors (water, environment, energy, transport, ICT, social services and civil works) in each country on the ORIO country list may be eligible for an ORIO grant.

Projects will be taken into consideration on a 'first come, first served' basis. There are no longer any priority sectors for ORIO projects. The applications that have been accepted for appraisal currently exceed the available budget of 180 million euros. ORIO has, consequently, opened a waiting-list. Should budget become available, due to any of the projects under consideration being discontinued during the appraisal period, then projects from the waiting list will be accepted for appraisal.
If the budget is amply exhausted, NL Agency will bring the application period to an early close and no further applications will be put on the waiting list. The waiting list will remain valid until 31 August 2012.

The ORIO policy rules of 2012 are currently available on the publication page of website www.orio.nl where you can also find an ORIO manual, as explanation of the policy rules, and the new ORIO Application Form.

As before, it remains possible to have an ORIO project consultant to assess whether a project idea would possibly fit ORIO, by filling out the Intake Form which is available on the publication page as well. This can be done throughout the year.
